The London Borough of Sutton

The Local Authority as landowner is the service provider and therefore accountable to local people. Sutton has created the vision of a regenerated sustainable community to replace the Durand Close estate. This fits with its strategic vision ‘to build a community in which all can take part and all can take pride’, and emphasises the Council’s community based approach and commitment to addressing quality of life issues and inclusiveness.
